At Galaxy Childcare we deliver quality education for young children that is both fun and engaging. We believe in empowering children by building character, resilience, and courage to explore new things so they can be better equipped on their journey in becoming all they want to be.
It is our philosophy that we reciprocate respect and to provide a safe and warm caring environment that is accepting and welcoming to both children and parents within our community.

Empowerment
At Galaxy Childcare Centre, empowerment means giving children the confidence, skills, and opportunities to be capable learners and decision-makers. We value their voices, encourage independence, and support them in shaping their own learning. This includes making choices in play, trying new things, celebrating achievements, and recognising that every contribution matters. Empowerment ensures children feel respected, capable, and ready for new challenges.
Exploration
Exploration is about learning through curiosity, play, and discovery. Children develop knowledge by engaging with people, places, and things around them. We create safe, stimulating environments that spark imagination, problem-solving, and creativity, while encouraging risk-taking in learning. Exploration helps children make sense of their world while building resilience, critical thinking, and confidence.
Embracing Culture Language & Identity
Cultural inclusiveness is at the heart of Galaxy Childcare. We take pride in fostering a true sense of belonging and community, with many families returning year after year—including some with four or more children attending across generations. Guided by Te Whāriki, we create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and confident in their identity.
Each child brings a unique heritage, perspective, and language to our centre, and we actively embrace this diversity. Through everyday learning experiences, shared stories, songs, and celebrations, children are encouraged to explore and appreciate the cultures and traditions of themselves and others. Our educators thoughtfully integrate cultural practices into daily routines, helping children develop an understanding of their own identity while building respect and curiosity for the wider world.

At Galaxy Childcare, we celebrate the richness of all languages and cultures, not only during special events but in our everyday interactions. Children have the opportunity to hear, speak, and learn different languages, and are encouraged to share words, stories, and songs from their home environment. We celebrate cultural festivals, traditional arts, and family customs, creating a vibrant, inclusive environment where every child can see themselves reflected and valued. By embracing diversity in all its forms, we nurture children who grow with pride, confidence, and respect for themselves and others. Our motto, “Reach for the Stars,” reflects our commitment to inspiring every child to explore, learn, and achieve their full potential in a world full of rich cultures and languages.
Preach Love & Respect
At Galaxy Childcare, we believe respect and empathy grow from the way children are treated. When they experience love, kindness, and understanding, they naturally begin to show these behaviours in their own interactions. This reflects Lev Vygotsky’s idea that children learn through guided, caring relationships with others.
Our educators actively model respectful communication, cooperation, and empathy every day. Children are encouraged to share their feelings, listen to others, and recognise how their actions affect those around them. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, they develop self-respect and understand that respect is reciprocal.
